Here is a short agreement and instructions for remote service.
Maintenance Requirements:
Personal computers must have at least Windows XP OS or higher. COMPUTER LABS, INC. DOES NOT PERFORM WORK ON OR SUPPORT ANY OTHER
OPERATING SYSTEMS. Devices are defined as personal computers.
Warranty/Parts Replacement Notice:
Any repairs made by COMPUTER LABS, INC. may void the factory or supplemental warranty on computer/device. If computer/device needs repair and it is covered by warranty, COMPUTER LABS, INC. recommends that the customer contact the entity that sold or manufactured the computer/device for information about repairs covered under warranty.
COMPUTER LABS, INC. may act as a liaison between its customers and the manufacturer(s) of its customer’s personal computer/device only in the capacity of reporting the problem, utilizing technical support, and scheduling repair service for Ir computer/device if preferred. Replacement parts may be recommended by COMPUTER LABS, INC., but the
customer remains responsible for all replacement parts. Customers will be consulted by Technicians before any hardware replacements or upgrades are made during diagnostic phases of the service agreement.
All work done has a limited 30 day warranty on Labor only. Parts are covered by their respective companies.
Data Backup/Restoration Notice:
COMPUTER LABS, INC. provides no guarantees (implied or otherwise)
regarding data backup or restoration. Backups and restoration are by request only and have an extra service charge added to cost of service. Windows and Program Files folders will not be backed up or
restored unless expressly requested in writing on this agreement by the customer. In addition, COMPUTER LABS, INC. is in no way responsible for the content of data on its customers computer/device. Data will be backed up and restored as is. Be aware that changing or updating the Operating System significantly changes the way Ir system looks and performs.
I have read and understand the policies of COMPUTER LABS, INC. regarding data location, backup, and restoration. By clicking on link below, customer understands that the customer is solely responsible for having backed up any data prior to COMPUTER LABS, INC. performing any work and solely responsible for restoring any data after COMPUTER LABS, INC. completes work. BY CLICKING ON LINK BELOW and allowing remote access to customer system, customer indicates full comprehension and agreement to the terms outlined in this document. Customer understands that it could take up three business days for each computer to be repaired. Customer also agree to pay all costs incurred, pursuant to valid Service Level Agreements. Customer certify that customer understands repairs performed by Computer Labs, Inc. Technicians may void any valid warranty on customer computer/device. Customer will not hold COMPUTER LABS, INC. or any of its employees, agents or representatives liable, in any way, for damages to my personal Computer/device or loss of data as a result of Virus repairs or work
performed. COMPUTER LABS, INC. Service Desk staff will e- mail OR call when machine is ready. Payment is due upon completion of remote service session.
